Tell me how - Philip Seibel The early years....

Philip must have been around 16 when he wrote this.

This live recording was done when he was 18

Go on, tell me how

do you tell someone

you love them

as they sit by your side

Go on, tell me how

do you tell someone

you love them

when they're gone

It may be the one chance in your life

It may never come around twice

Use each moment you have today

Tomorrow

you may regret

yesterday

He sits alone

in the corner of some bar

Across his way

he sees the girl

he's always been

looking out for

But he's just too damn shy

to go out there

say, "Hello! There you are"

She glances at him

winks a smile

as she leaves

for the door

It may be the one chance in your life

It may never come around twice

Use each moment you have today

Tomorrow

you may regret

yesterday

But while it hurts to see

the one you love

go away

and turn their back on you

as they quietly slip away

but you know

broken hearts are just

a part of life

You just gotta pick up

the pieces

and start again

Love is a painful arrow

yes

I know it is

It gets tough for you

to pull

out again

Just try to stand

on your own two feet

Things will work out

better in the end

in the end

in the end
